Veterinarians

Julie Bieszki, DVM

Dr. Julie Bieszki was born and raised in Monroe, Michigan. She is a graduate of University College of Dublin, Ireland and attended undergrad at Michigan state. Dr. Bieszki is very excited to be back in Monroe and serving the animals in her community. She is married to Ryan and has a wonderful daughter. She has a handsome hound dog, Radar; a beautiful cat, Scarlett; and a horse, Peanut. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, skiing, and golfing.

Kayla Tubbs, DVM
Dr. Tubbs was born and raised in Monroe, MI. She is an Alumnae of Bowling Green State University, where she obtained her Bachelor Degree. She then went to Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee where she earned her Master and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Most of her free time is spent with her two dogs: Lucy and Aliyah, and her two cats: Harvey and Bruce. She also enjoys teaching yoga, traveling, and learning about different cultures.
Kirsten Thomas, DVM
Dr. Kirsten Thomas grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved to the Toledo area in 2016. She went to undergrad at Middlebury College in Vermont and completed her veterinary training at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the West Indies and Oregon State University. Since graduating from veterinary school, she has worked as both a small animal veterinarian and at several zoological institutions. In addition to working in small animal practice, she also has her own Zoo Medicine practice and is currently getting licensed in Veterinary Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. When not working, Dr. Kirsten enjoys spending time with her toddler son Oliver, spending time outside, traveling, and relaxing with her Boston Terrier Stewie and three-legged cat Gracie.

Practice Manager

Kendra, RVT, BS, MBA

She graduated from Brown Mackie College with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2012 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration in 2015. She graduated from The University of Northwestern Ohio with a Master of Business Administration in 2019. She enjoys camping, fishing, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and retired rescue greyhound.

Holly
Holly, Licensed Veterinary Technician
She graduated from Wayne State University in 2012 with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She enjoys spending time with her husband Cory and their 6 cats, gardening, traveling, and going to the gym.
Mikayla
Mikayla, Licensed Veterinary Technician
A licensed veterinary technician of 6 years, she attended Monroe Community College after high school where she received an Associate Degree of Science in 2014 while obtaining her prerequisite classes for her degree in veterinary technology. After finishing her time at Monroe Community College, she attended Wayne State University’s Veterinary Technology Program that was a partnership with Wayne Community College. She completed the program and graduated in 2016 with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She then went on to take her national and state board exams where she became licensed in the field. When not at work, Mikayla likes spending time with her husband, 2 dachshunds, and 2 cats. They enjoy going up north in the summer and spending their time relaxing by fires, enjoying the fresh air, and spending time at the lake.
Courtney
Courtney, Licensed Veterinary Technician

She graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2017 and has been working as a registered veterinary technician for nearly 6 years. She became a licensed veterinary technician when she joined our team in Michigan. Her favorite thing about being a technician is learning new things to help all the animals. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and snuggling with her 3 cats Franklin, Oliver, and Spooky.

Courtney
Natalie, Licensed Veterinary Technician

She graduated from Wayne County Community College in 2006 with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. She comes with an abundance and a range of experience,  including 5 years in emergency medicine and 14 years in research medicine. When she’s not at work she enjoys camping and the outdoors. She has two daughters and a Golden Retriever and a Great Dane.
